MSFT is down 6.24% in after-hours trading. And just yesterday I was wondering if I should go ahead and dump my stocks or wait until my actual last day. Looks like I should have acted!

From the International Earth Destruction Advisory Board:
In the event of the Earth being destroyed it will be the IEDAB's job to relay this information to people who need to know and provide advice on how to proceed.Their site, with information on how to destroy the Earth (which they point out is really hard to do), is a hilarious send-up of meaningless hippie-dippie tripe like the Doomsday Clock.
That's how long it took from reporing my XBOX 360 broken to getting it back. Since it didn't arrive at my house until I was already at work, I don't know if it is actually fixed yet, but we'll find out tonight!
News flash: I'm leaving Microsoft and going to Amazon.com ... after 10 years of MSFT, it's time for something different. I hope I'm "bad attrition" but according to Mini-Microsoft, it's all good.
Machiavelli personality test: http://www.salon.com/books/it/1999/09/13/machtest/index.html I scored 89, or "High Mach" ;-)
My XBOX 360 was only in Texas for a few minutes, and it is already on its way back home. Either it was very easy to fix or they just gave me a new one ...
My XBOX 360 just arrived in Texas, where it will be disassembled and rebuilt better than ever before! So maybe I'll be playing again by the end of next week.
My XBOX 360 suddenly shut itself off during a game of Hexic today, and when I turned it back on, I got the "Red Ring of Lights" -- in other words, the XBOX wasn't too happy. After a while, I got it to come back on, but it died again after a few minutes. So ... a quick call to customer support (no special deals for MS employees, I just got lucky and had no hold time), and I've got a repair scheduled. They are sending me a box, which I'll pack my console in, send it back, and wait. So I won't be playing Hexic for a few weeks, at least!

My friend Kristi Yaskot came to town last week as part of her long car trip across America to research her book The Proposal. Be sure to check our her site and fill out the survey. Also check out her blog.
What does that have to do with a picture of Laurel at the Space Needle? Kristi took it, that's all.

Dan reminded me that I didn't put a link on the blog about the Disney trip at all! Instead, I just posted some photos to flickr -- so click on Laurel's red hair to find them!
