Meet the Stewart daughter!

Don't get too excited, Mum(s) -- this is just a simulation of what our highly-theoretical daughter might someday look like, according to the highly advanced "Gene Machine" ($5 at the Luxor in Vegas):

Isn't she cute? And the great thing is, if your daughter doesn't turn out to look exactly like this, you can get your five bucks back (must present valid birth certificate and ugly child).

Thanks, Danielle Smith, whoever you are!

I figure no one ever buys Dave Stuff, so I rarely check my account.

I did it tonight, and found out that someone named Danielle Smith bought a "Will code 4 food" T-shirt!

I hope you're enjoying it, Danielle!

Sayonara, Pathfinder! Guten Tag, GTI!

Today we traded in the Pathfinder on a VW GTI after looking at the Prius and a MINI Cooper. Laurel didn't like the styling of the Prius and neither of us liked the price for the package we were in interested in. The MINI was very impressive, but its 5 month wait combined with the very generous trade we made for the Pathfinder tilted the scales over to the GTI. It doesn't have the 50 mpg of the Prius but it isn't the 18 mpg of the SUV either. The GTI is silver with black leather interior, roomy inside (more comfortable than the MINI) and very peppy. The MINI had more style, but the VW was the practical choice. So now the Stewarts are a one-car family.

Ta ta, TT!

The Audi TT is gone. Laurel sold it today to a young man from Brazil who works at Microsoft. I hope he enjoys it! We're planning to take that money, plus a trade-in on the Pathfinder, to buy a top-of-the-line Toyota Prius next week!
