My parents got me a special tripod attachment for my birthday/Xmas -- it allows you to take panoramic photos with ease. I quickly set it up, took 18 shots of our living room (every 20 degrees for a full circle), and put the results into a great Mac OSX program called "Double Take" which stitched the photos together in less than a minute, producing the result you see above.
