Driving it to the hole
Since I've very likely gone way past my mid-life, I figured it was time for a crisis. I'm going to take off for a long motorcycle trip in about a week (June 2) ... the destination was to be "wherever the wind takes me" but since I've made a reservation for a hotel at the Grand Canyon, the wind will at least take me there.
It's about a 3000-mile round trip in 8 or 9 days, with no other reservations, but of course a ton of general trip planning using Streets & Trips and Virtual Earth.
You can, of course, expect lots of photos, GPS tracks, blog posts, etc. from the road.
I'll even have my bluetooth headset on my helmet if you want to call me!

Sounds pretty good.
I did a 6175 kilometer (3878 miles) road trip last December in about 12 days, in car.
Check it out:

There is a link including the multistop route we followed.
I recommend Sedona, AZ as an absolute must-do:

Enjoy...
I'm jealous! Sounds like fun. Are you and the bike ready? Dan R
I'm more than ready. Hopefully, the bike is, too -- it has been running great recently.
Oh, and cool, thanks for the links, Fred!!!
