Drowning
For at least a few minutes today (not sure what will happen by the end of the day, as the market has a few more hours to go), every share of MSFT granted to employees since 1998 until 2002 (when grants ended) was "underwater." The decision to hold on to my last bit of stock grants, rather than sell them the day I gave notice, turned out to be a huge mistake (unless something big happens in the next month). Oh well.
After-market update: $21.46 is yet another 52-week-low. Wow!

Hold on---surely, what goes down must come up :-)
I'm not sure who Scoble is, but maybe word of billg's departure got out a little early?
Scoble was "Chief Humanitarian Officer" (ugh) ... basically, an MS blogger who got a bit too big for his britches and actually thought he was making a difference (unlike Mini, who really DID make a difference).
Oops, I mean "Chief Humanising Officer" or something like that ... whatever, who cares, stupid made-up title for a glorified HAM radio operator (Typical HAM conversation: "I have a HAM radio." "So do I")
Ah, I see. All I know is that the place has gone to hell, and it all started about the time I left. Mind you I'm not saying there's a _direct_ connection.
