I thought this little bit of computer history was interesting: Cost of Hard Drive Space ... imagine, 50 years ago, 5 megabytes cost $50,000. By March 2004, that same 5 megabytes cost ... less than one penny. 10 years ago, a gigabyte cost $850. Two years ago, a buck. Amazing!

Very interesting article. I was wondering if you would be able to tell me how much a normal hard drive would have cost in 1999?? I have tried to find this information on the internet but failed.
