I go through cycles where I'm so sick of browsing that I type "The Internet is boring" into a search engine just to see what comes up to prove me wrong ... I spent the next hour reading this: The Edge Annual Question. A deeper person than I might have spent days or months pondering this question and the collection of answers. But for me, the Internet can go back to being boring, now. (Of course, one may ask, if it is so boring, why not just stop using it? Well, what else is there to do?)

Yeah, i too found this page by that same search... Looks like this blog is becoming ground zero for those who think we've seen all this old and busted internet has to offer.
funny, i too arrived here via that same search. How bored I must have been to actually type in "the internet is boring" into a browser. it really is boring. its only just functional now; pay bills, find facts. not much in way of entertainment anymore. there are only so many idiotic blogs and frantic political rants one can read before its out of your system. now its just really really boring. But like you say, what else is there to do? go back to television? ;)

Yep. I'm another person who got here by searching The internet is boring on google. I find that every now and then something come along that brightens things up a bit (YouTube), but after a while it just gets boring again.
I’m flabbergasted that so many of us are out there thinking the same thing. Doing the exact same thing. Typing the same comment in search of something, and all simultaneously. Yet, with all this synchronicity, people still find it more interesting to sit in front of an inanimate object pointing and clicking their life away, instead of going out and meeting people and having real conversations about their commonalities. Very weird.

Actually, I was thinking about why people are so fascinated with TV/Computers, and was somehow comparing them with early man's first experience with seeing his reflection over the water....then the creation of mirrors....and then...behold: The Boob Tube. We're staring at our own reflections.

i got so bored of internet i too typed in the internet sucks. it must be cause once u do everything u dont know what to do next, so u type in something to see what comes up which all of us have done. but we wonder why one minute it is the coolest thing in the world but the next it sucks. but the greater question is what is there to do. most people dont know i am one of them. once u get so into the internet u type in just about eveything then u have absolutely nothing to do at all on it. then u cant think of what to do noext so we just sit there. from now on i hope the internet stops sucking and gets better with more things to do. and i am serious right now i am so bored i have nothing to do except type in the internet sucks and just keep writing crap about how bad the internet sucks.

so i was reading through some comments here i got here the smae way by typing the internet is boring and someone said why do we like computers and tv's so much in answer it is because humans are so intelligent (some of them anyway only joking ) that tv is intresting by giving us something new and entertaining to do also we like it because humans like to observe and watch (like animals) other life forms

Well, here I am bored out of my mind. I came here through the same google search. I've been to complaint websites, porn, evil, self-help, job searches, and politicals. I've also been to the very end of the internet too. In summary, I've ignored the last 10 years of my life just to end up wasted. I'm long overdue to sober up and go back to real life. Now it's all gone and I'm so bored and alone I realize I need to live and make up for lost time. Humans were not born just to sit their life away in front of an inanimate box, when there is so much more we could be doing to make the world a better place to live in. I want to try to be a better person, I really do.

I suggest free webspace that is supported by advertising, and we should make lots of fake ads that look just like the sponsored ads, only for horrifying things that don't exist, that link to each others' sites.

but i suppose we should all look at the brighter side of the internet, a few years ago most people didnt have the internet at work and now it gives us something a bit more interesting to do.

I am also another who found this page when i searched for "the internet is boring", which i truly think it is. All i use my connection for is online games. I don't even use my house phone but i still have to pay line rental and a subscription charge just to play games online.
