Tonight on the Daily Show, Howard Stern was flashing this around but didn't mention it explicitly -- The Sirius S50.
I had heard about this, but didn't know it was available yet!
I'm thinking that if all the people who would normally give me separate presents got together and gave me this instead, I might place a one-year hold on my "presents to the ceiling" policy.

Really? Even though it only receives when it is hooked up to an antenna?
Yes, but it can record for five hours, so you leave it running while a show like, oh, I don't know, say, Howard Stern is on early in the morning ... and it will also play MP3s like an iPod.
Sorry, that's 50 hours, not 5 hours. And it is coming out on Dec. 19 ... guess I'll wait till we're home from Hawaii ;-)
