Spilled some milk, but I'm not crying

I took the following shots for my photography class assignment ("freeze motion with a fast shutter speed"):

Very good! I have some black & white prints from the 70's that remind me of your style :-) I can't imagine who you take after!

That was my inspiration! ;-) I'd like to get the negatives of those pictures and scan them in sometime.

My pictures were a big hit at the photo class last night, although I thought they were definitely not the best of the bunch.

I'll look for the negatives. Your father broke a lot of eggs with a hammer in the basement trying to get that perfect shot. Good thing eggs were cheap then!

Oops! He broke light bulbs with a hammer! They were cheap, too:-)

I thought it was a light bulb, but those were probably cheaper, too (although not as cheap as eggs).

Hi, my name is Laura I am 17 and studying photography. I would very much like to recreate Edgertons 'milk drop' photograph and yours are very like the quality of his.
Tried to find an email address or something to contact you, as I would very much like more detail on how you took this, tips and anything else you could offer me help with!
Please, if you have a second, email me:

I look forward to hearing from you!Laura x

Hi, my name is Laura and I have just begun an A level course on photography...
I am currently getting to grips with my SLR and have been set an assignment to take a 'freeze photograph'. I have been looking at Harold Edgerton's photograph of a milk drop and splash, which yours are quite similar to. I would like to recreate this myself, so was wondering if you could give me more detail on how you took these photographs of nectarines and milk; shutter speed, lighting, timing etc. Also any other advice you can give on photography as you are obviously quite good...!
Thanks. Laura
