Up on the roof

I went up on the roof today to see why my wind speed and direction indicator wasn't working. I figured it was off its mount or otherwise jammed, but once I got up there, it looked just fine. So I then figured it must be unplugged. Tracing the wire, I found the actual problem -- a year of scraping against a metal gutter had cut the wire in the middle. So at least I know how to fix it ... patch the wire? Nah, by buying a whole new one, of course! Hopefully it will arrive in about a week.
