Hurricane Paul making landfall this weekend

Laurel's college friend Paul is coming to Seattle this weekend, after a stop with his boyfriend Grant at the Portland Open Source Conference.

Yes, that's right: An openly open-source couple in my home! To be fair, Paul isn't particularly interested in computers; I think he's just interested in Grant, who happens to be a Linux guy.

At any rate, I've not met Grant before. If he's a typical humorless Linux guy, this weekend will consist of numerous rants against Microsoft, which as the good host I'll have to just endure (to me, enduring means making sarcastic comments that I just hope go over the target's head).

I'm sure he's a good guy, though ... If Paul likes him, he must not be all bad.
