Hey! I happened upon your blog through Blogger on the recent updates page...do you know anything about Live Webcasting? I'm trying to find out how to get into that for a competitive cheerleading company...any links you can recommend? Nice live cam btw.

Thanks...but I need to find out what type of camera to purchase and what software to use to produce a live webcast like a live cheerleading event...
That's a bit more complex than what I could really answer here, with a lot of questions I'd have to ask to find out what your constraints were for budget, number of people watching the stream, etc.
However, Windows Media Encoder + a Windows Media Server would be the basic setup that would work with almost any camera. You'd probably need decent video camera with firewire capabilities, but there are many hundreds of choices out there.
Although Windows Media Encoder is free, getting a decent server for Windows Media hosting is not. Search for "windows media server hosting" on Google.com, though, and you'll find various companies that will host your live stream for you, for decent rates if you're planning on doing this a lot.
