For whatever reason, this morning the question popped into my head, "whatever happened to Green Stamps?" So I Googled it and read this article from the Straight Dope. Green Stamps have gone virtual and are now called Green Points. And you can get them shopping online - even with iTunes purchases.
Who knew?

Oh great---I think my Mom threw away several books of S&H green stamps several years ago. I remember licking stamps and putting them in the books. I hated doing that! I remember going to the S&H green stamp store...I think she bought a utility cart the last time we went. Geez--I haven't thought of those things in years!

I remember them always being around the house, but don't remember ever redeeming them. I think I used to stick them to everything *except* the stamp books.
